This work provides a foundation for the development of targeted imaging agents that can noninvasively assess tumor angiogenesis, potentially aiding in early cancer detection and monitoring therapeutic responses.
Tumor-targeted nanomedicines for cancer theranostics
In this article, we review clinical and preclinical nanomedicines for cancer theranostics, highlighting strategies for tumor targeting and combined diagnostic–therapeutic applications. We discuss current challenges in translation, including safety, design optimization, and regulatory hurdles, and provide a roadmap for improving efficacy and clinical impact.
